Principal's Message

Greetings FDO Families,

My name is Rania Nahle and I am excited to be the new principal of Frank Del Olmo Elementary (FDO). It is an honor to serve the students and families in this school community. I come to FDO with twenty-one years of experience with the Los Angeles School District. I have had the privilege of serving under many capacities in both elementary and secondary schools. My experiences include teacher, counselor, coordinator and assistant principal. Most recently, I served English Learner Coordinator with the Multilingual Multicultural Education Department.

A little something about me, I immigrated to the US at 11 years old from Lebanon. I am a second language learner, product of L.A. Unified, and first-generation college graduate. Moreover, I am a proud mother of two girls and I love bike riding and hiking. As I reflect on my life journey, I can truly say that everything I have been able to accomplish and the challenges I have overcome are because of my family and the village that supported me and continues to support me. They gave me a foundation filled with values of integrity, compassion, humility, perseverance, faith, and love for the community.

I look forward to continuing to build a strong bond with students, parents, teachers, and support staff and therefore continue to inspire a shared commitment to quality education.  I look forward to meeting you, seeing you participate at the various school events, and becoming partners in supporting your child’s success.

Thank you, parents, in advance for your collaboration, dedication, and commitment to your child’s well-being and academic success. Parents and families play a pivotal role in our student's educational trajectories. We need you as partners in their educational advancement.  After all, as parents, you are their first teachers.

Working together as a team with staff, parents, and the community, I am committed to helping each student achieve their absolute best and become successful, active participants in our community. I am honored to lead Frank del Olmo, an outstanding school and community that strives to support students to be leaders in their community and prepare to be “Ready for the World.”

With great respect and admiration,

Ms. Nahle, Principal
